A pregnant woman was gang raped by four men as her husband before was tied up and locked in a van, according to reports.
The 20-year-old woman, who is eight months pregnant, and her hotelier husband had travelled to Tasgoan in Mangarashtra with the hopes of hiring workers for their business.
NDTV reports that the couple travelled to the region on the pretence of meeting potential employees.
One of the alleged rapists is said to have lured the husband to Turchi Phata by saying he knew someone who wanted a job.
He asked the husband to bring 20,000 rupees (£225) as advance payment.
However, when they arrived the suspect and three others beat the husband with pipes and sticks, robbed their money and gold ornaments.
They then tied up the husband and locked him in a van before four separate gang members raped his heavily pregnant wife.
They eventually made it to Tashoan police station where they reported their ordeal.

Police Officer Ajay Sindkar told the Times Of India: "One of the suspects, who was in touch with the woman, called the couple to Turchi Phata, saying he would introduce them to two men who were interested in working at their hotel.
"Four others took the woman to a nearby room, owned by one of the suspects, and raped her.
"They fled after taking her gold chain and 20,000 rupees from her husband."
The woman said she didn't know any of the eight men but Sindkar said: "three of the detained men have said that they knew the woman and that they had worked at her hotel six months ago".
Sindkar added that the woman refused to undergo medical tests.
