Woman assaulted by a police officer finally speaks out


Thirty-six-year-old Patience Osafo has been speaking about her ordeal at the head office of Midland Savings and Loans at Siashie in Accra.

According to her, she was at the bank on Thursday to withdraw her 2-month savings to enable her payback money a friend lend her.

But after waiting several hours, the police officer started assaulting her at about 4:30 PM.
In a video that has gone viral on social media platforms, the police officer, Frederick Amanor also known as Skalla is seen throwing blows at Patience Osafo in the banking hall.

He first hit the woman and her baby several times in the head before whilst landing slaps and punches on the woman’s face amid cries from the helpless woman.

But Patience told UTV Friday night the policeman hit her head several times with the butt of his riffle which was not even captured in the video.
